These books have been mentioned over the last couple of days. They are all out
of print and difficult to find:
"Self Sufficient Pottery" by Judy Cunningham-Smith is a basic handbook.
Nothing about wheel or equipment building. "The Self Sufficient Potter" by
Andrew Holden presents a basic glaze and materials primer, raw glazing (single
firing), simple kiln building and wheel building. "Potters Alternative" by
Harry Davis is the bible of self sufficiency. Glaze books by Emmanuel Cooper:
Potters Book Of Glaze Recipes, Glazes For The Studio Potter, and another
glaze recipe book he wrote (the title escapes me, darn) also all out of print.
