favorite porcelain?

If you don't care too much about the translucency, try P-10 from Highwater
clay. Throws like a dream but it is a domestic porcelain that goes a bit
gray in reduction. I have a vase that I will check the translucency on and
get back to you on how that turns out.

Aloha Dean -

Personally, I don't care overly much about translucency either. My
porcelains of choice are Coleman Porcelain (Aardvark) and the english
grolleg I get from our local supplier here, Clay Art Center in Tacoma, =3D
WA.

I'm coming to the Garden Island March 1-10, and would like to visit. I
missed you last year - I think you were visiting family in California.

P10 is a very nice clay to throw, trim, and carve.

As Randall says, it is a bit gray rather than white when fired. I have
found that my Blue Green Celadon does not do well on it, unless I coat the =
piece
with a slip with a higher grolleg content. For instance, Highwater's
Helios.
