I just did a post to my blog on Porcelain for the People. I'm not
really the one to comment on the best porcelain because for more than
2 decades i have hated the cursed stuff. I haven't liked it since my
buddy Frank Tucker stopped filter pressing it. Well now Matt and Dave
have a porcelain body that is filter pressed. I still have to be more
careful with my throwing but it threw beautifully and even better it
trims nice and you don't have to cover it in bed sheets and plastic
and sit around and sing The Lion Sleeps Tonight while it slowly dries.
I tortured it and it held up well. I will wood fire a few pots in the
Sheridan students wood firing and they can make a firing cycle do the
the loopdie loop.
Check out my blog for further info.
Cheers,
Tony
