Hi Clayart,
The Arizona State University Ceramic Research Center's Studio Tour is =3D
coming up on February 27 and 28 in the Phoenix metro area. I've =3D
provided links to some of my work that will be on the tour and at the =3D
Research Center, as well as the tour brochure and map. If you are in =3D
town...we have blue skies and sunshine this time of year..... come by =3D
and say hello. I'll be at Nick Bernard's studio #6 in Scottsdale.
This year I made the switch from firing at ^10 reduction back to ^6 =3D
oxidation. I decided that I wanted to control the mistakes. I wasn't =3D
learning by having work fired in another studio. Didn't someone by the =3D
name of "Mel" say that? As I have said many times before, most of what =3D
I have learned has come from Clayart. You are a most generous group of =3D
artists. Among my glazes is a R. Roy, a June Perry, a J. Hesselberth, =3D
and an Alisa. I've also been using John's firing schedule with a =3D
modification for my kiln. I've been very pleased with the results, and =3D
excited to test more glazes....did two hundred this summer. Still want =3D
to find some good ^6 mattes and satins. Any suggestions?
Thank you all! I could not have been part of this tour without you. =3D20

My suggestion would be to buy John Hesselberth and Ron Roy's book "Masterin=
g
Cone 6 Glazes", read it and try some of their glazes using their firing
schedule.
Best,
Bonnie
