I've just posted information on my website about three workshops. I'm
trying something new this year -- a four-day throwing intensive.=3DA0 By
extending to four days, we should have more time to work one-on-one,
setting goals and problem solving individual issues of throwing.
Normally, my weekend-long workshops are geared to advanced students
and/or working potters who want to explore a form in depth.=3DA0 I'm
hoping that the extended format will work for advanced throwers and
also allow room for those with considerably less experience.
Here's the schedule:
May 27-30, 2010=3DA0 Focus on Throwing -- a four-day throwing intensive
June 19-20, 2010=3DA0 Lamps -- we'll make wheel-thrown lamp bases and
learn to finish and wire them.
August 14-15, 2010=3DA0 Altering Thrown Forms -- starting with round
wheel-thrown components, we=3D92ll work on squared and oval shapes, and on
ways to texture and alter thrown pots while they are still on the
wheel.
