There was a thread a few years back about slow wheels. Many prefer them. =

High speeds are not necessary.
What you need your strong motor for, is not to slow down when centering =3D
large lumps of clay. The Thomas Stuart wheel is a work horse. Fast is =3D
not the goal. I have a Bailey wheel, and it is slow. I find it is =3D
perfect for my mode of throwing. I am comfortable working on it. I throw =
=3D
fast but on a slow wheel.
We all have our ways of doing things.=3D20
Just my opinion.
