clayart mug exchange in philly

updated tue 16 mar 10

No, we do not have a day or time set for the mug exchange yet. It was
originally scheduled for Thurs. evening, but Steve's party is scheduled
then. I'm open to suggestions. PLEASE. Everytime I think I might have
found an opening in the events scheduling, I find out something else is
scheduled.

Hi Rebecca,

Thanks for answering my question. Sorry, I do not have a suggestion, as
there seem to be programs scheduled, but no times or dates have been given.
Since the Mug Exchange is one of the highlights, or has been in the past, I=
am
surprised that it is so difficult to get a time slot. I do sympathize and
empathize with you. Good luck, and I hope a time slot can be found for the
exchange.

All the best.

Veena

Hi folks,

At the risk of being repetitive and a nuisance (G), do we have a time and
date for the Clayart mug exchange. Would love to have this information, so =
if
anyone knows, would you please share.

Thanks in advance,

Veena

Hi Rebecca,

You will not be able to find a time that will please everybody. We are =3D
used to Friday evening about 6 and I would suggest you just stick with =3D
that. But, whatever you decide, the sooner you announce it the better. =3D
That will give people more time to rearrange other minor commitments =3D
they might have made so they can be at the mug exchange.

As an alternative, stick with Thursday evening. How many people will =3D
really go to the party in Quakertown when they realize it is a full one =3D
hour drive (47 miles) north of the city and probably an hour and a half =3D
or more at rush hour? Then the same time to drive or ride back late at =3D
night.

But my recommendation is to just announce it and let the chips fall =3D
where they may.

Regards,

John

Most of the difficulty lies is synching up
Clayart activities with NCECA activities.
Clayart has no official role in NCECA, so
NCECA has no reason to schedule around
Clayart plans. A lot of Clayart people attend
the NCECA conference, but it's not that
many compared with the total attendance
at the event.

Snail,

You mean that NCECA is happening the same time as the Clayart Convention?=

I had no idea,

Thanks Snail.
The NCECA registration is rather a commitment to attend NCECA events.
It is going to be tough to do half let alone "all". I haven't seen this =3D
many shows listed since Baltimore.
