Good Morning All,
I'm looking for a green Raku Glaze. Several weeks ago I saw this glaze on
two pieces at a community Raku firing. The couple that had used this glaze
said they had gotten it of the Internet but I can't find it. I was "caught
up in the moment" and didn't get their names, nor phone numbers, nor e-mail
so I could follow up. I don't know the name of it but it was various shades
of light green, absolutely beautiful!!!! Also, does anyone have a Raku
glaze for light blues?
Thank you so much in advance and Happy Holidays!
Laura in chilly yet beautiful Seattle.

laura:
the higby water blue from the branfman book is a nice copper to green
raku glaze
frit 3110 70
gert. borate 5
silica 5
soda ash 10
epk 5
copper carb 3-6%
i usually use 5% copper, where it's thin you get the copper penny look,
thicker is the dark green.

I've used 04-05-06 commerically made glazes in raku for colors I'd not be able
to mix on my own. This may solve the problem of finding the recipe for pastel
colors.
