I'm not all that happy with the university's colored slips. So... it's
time to make my own. The university's slips work well at ^04 and well
at ^10. They are spotty at best at ^6. No clue why that is.
Anyone have a simple slip recipe that I can color with mason stains
and that will work well at both ^6 and ^10? Many thanks.

Deb...
Here is one I have posted before. I got it from a friend, Ann Arbor potter
I.B. Remsen. I have personally used it on both wet and leather hard clay,
fired everywhere from cone 06 through 12, all with zero problems. Takes
colorants well. Great for trailing and for marbling.
Remsen Slip
Tile 6 Kaolin 50
OM-4 Ball Clay 10
Silica 20
Custer Feldspar 20
Good luck with it.
