There are still some spaces for my "Tricks of the Trade"
Workshop in Oklahoma City next weekend, April 24 & 25.
The workshop is for people with experience working with clay,
who are interested in trying some new ideas and learning new
skills. I will share my techniques, developed over 30 years as
a studio potter, that save time and stimulate creativity.
The emphasis will be on functional vessel forms such as plates,
pitchers, and cups. Throwing on the potter's wheel, hand building,
and extruding with the clay extruder will be combined for much
of the work. I will also explain and demonstrate my unique
glazing and decorating style, glazing leather-hard pots using slip
glazes, accented with overglaze decoration.
Cost is $130, and the workshop will be in the clay studio at
City Arts Center at Fair Park,
3000 General Pershing Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK
405-951-0000
