I do not know the formula but I understand that the Tom Turner cone 6
porcelain requires a very expensive ingredient from England. In the past
this grade of material was available in the US but the source has dried up
or been mined out. Standard Ceramic Supply keeps this ingredient under loc=
k
and key, the only ingredient secured in this way. Standard will mix up a
batch of what they call 601 Tom Turner cone 6 porcelain on special order.
That means a minimum of 2000 pounds. I use and love this clay and would be
happy to go in with someone to help make up an order large enough for them
to go into production. It is expensive. In small amounts they were
charging 90 cents a pound.
