need a new shipping scale - advice?

I bought a Jennings digital shipping scale a few years ago, it was the
JShip 275 model. About a year ago the on/off button started having
problems and now it wont turn on at all, with batteries or the a/c
adapter. This one is/was a digital scale with 275 lb capacity and I
would like one in the same weight category.

I was not expecting to have to buy another one of these after only a few
years - so this time I would like to get something more reliable and
would like to know if anyone out there could recommend another brand?
This one had a 12" X 15" platform which is a good size for my purposes.

Thanks,

Paul

Paul,
I have had 3 Ohaus digital scales since the early 80s. They
all still work great, are trade legal, come in various
capacities and are both battery or ac.
The platform on mine is about 12" x 15"
Regards,

Can you replace the switch.
The scale repair tech I talked with said that the basic weighing cells neve=
r
go bad.
My brother-in-law the gEEk says switches are always the first thing to go.
Ergo it seems like its worth a try.
