There is no tax on income earned by visual artists, writers, sculptors, mu=
sicians at the present who satisfy requirements posited by Irish Government=
. May change though. Shall we start a campaign state by state?

Hay Folks,=3D0A=3D0A This brings up a bunch of questions, thoughts, or idea=
s fo=3D
r me even though vary little of my income has, and in all likely-hood never=
will, come from the sale of my Art. I wonder why Ireland doesn't tax it's =
artists. Is it that they don't make much money anyway and there is no Irish=
National Endowment For The Arts so might as well let them keep what they m=
ake? Maybe the thought is if they are not taxed then the government doesn't=
need to support them with tax money collected from non-artists. The situat=
ion in America being different maybe we should tax Artists more and fund ou=
r National Endowment for the Arts with their own money and not those who ha=
ve no interest in the Arts. I bet we would get a lot more useful Art and a =
lot less jars of pee with crosses in them, rags hanging from light poles, o=
r strobe lights flashing on the severed necks of a chickens. Because of "ar=
t" like that there's a lot of people out there who believe you don't gotta =
have Art
and the market place should be the determining factor in it's survival. Wh=
enever I made something useful it sold but my "art" pieces tended to sit, p=
robably because some folks see the title of my Dragon Pots as a name for Sa=
tin or something stupid like that. It's a sad day when superstition dictate=
s what can be represented with imagery so stay in there and don't let Rush =
