mystery glaze challenge!

Hi All;
OK super sleuths here's a good one for you...I teach at a small universit=
=3D
y here in St. Louis.=3D20=3D20
We inherited a mystery glaze marked "Mocha" Spoke to the previous instru=
=3D
ctor and she=3D20
said it was a happy accident and all she can remember is that is was supp=
=3D
osed to be black=3D20
but cannot remember what she did wrong. She used a few MC6 Glazes if tha=
=3D
t helps the=3D20
mystery. The color alone is nothing remarkable, it is a medium brown, no=
=3D
t a lot of depth.=3D20=3D20
However when layered with other colors it does fantastic things! Incredi=
=3D
ble depth and=3D20
amazing color shifts. It works beautifully layered with MC6 Bright Blue =
=3D
and Caribbean Sea=3D20
Green. I've posted some shots of experimental beginner work. Take a look=
=3D
and see if you=3D20
can give me guidance as to were to begin my testing and re-development of=
=3D
this beauty!

Hi Michelle,

Given that your predecessor used MC6Gs I would guess that it was =3D
Licorice without the cobalt. That is the only black glaze in the book =3D
and Licorice itself is a wonderful layering glaze either on top of or =3D
underneath other glazes.
