in minnesota we have a dem form...and a dis form.
like dis house, and dem people over der.

when i taught at ely high school, minnesota iron range,
dey had a jeet form.

like didjeetyet? (did you eat yet) or, heyyous, mr. jacobson ay.

i would reply. `no son, i have not partaken in my afternoon luncheon.`
they would look at me like i was martian.
i got a facebook note from one of my students from ely...god damn
woman is 70 years old...what happened?
mel,
yes it is 3 a.m. i like to get up and fire early in the morning.
quiet, alone and no phone calls.

Yeah, over here we have the 'yous' pronoun too. Very handy, as in 'did
yous eat yet?' Saves lots of time, not having to think about how many
people might have already consumed edibles....
