The K-Type Pyrometers sure are different from what I got when I was a kid.=

The thermocouple is a lot heavier duty looking than the older models, real=

metal rods and thick porcelain keeping them apart. On the back of the mete=

r is what look like transistors or capacitors. I guess I need to strip a bi=

t of the thin wires and hook one to the + and the other to the - posts. It =

comes out of the box with a small spring clip connecting two posts and I wo=

nder if I keep that for when not in use or just pitch it. Since I'm stickin=

g these thermocouples into a wood kiln I also got the porcelain protective =

tubes to keep the metal clean so it stays accurate.=3D0A=3D0A Wouldn't ya k=
