My dad's a building contractor and has always advertised in the Yellow
Pages. Judging only from his experience, a Yellow Pages listing is
essential for a building contractor, and a simple one-line listing brings
in as much business as a "block" listing. IMO, a listing in the Yellow
Pages would be nearly useless to a potter, particularly a part-time
potter/full-time shrink. Word of mouth, I think, will serve you better.
I can't claim any expertise on this, however, as I've never listed in the
Yellow Pages. Hope you find what works for you.
