Finding a harmonious match of form and surface has always been a =3D
challenge for me, but nature seems to do it with such effortless grace. =3D
I came across this sleeping screech owl a few days ago in the woods near =
=3D
my home:

Even from just a couple of meters away he was hard to see, and seemed to =
=3D
melt into the forest. When seen in profile, without the maple tree =3D
behind him, his ear tufts and cylindrical body made him look just like a =
=3D
broken branch. Such an inspiring example of form and surface working =3D
together.
