Business listings in the white pages and in the yellow pages may
not help but they certainly can't hurt. Good road signage is one of the
most cost effective forms of advertising. In Maine we have Official
Business Directional Signs which are located at road intersections in order
to direct folks to your business location. Also business signs that mark
your location have a lot to do with getting those folks to stop who happen
to be driving by. One day I hope to have carved signs with gold leaf
lettering in place of the signs that I currently have. A well known and
respected sign maker in Rockport gave me a price of about $100 per square
foot to produce the signs that I want. Each sign would be about 24 square
feet times 2 = 48 square feet so that would be a $4800 investment. A
sizable investment but probably worth it. ...Marshall
