The kiln gods remind me of an event our potters guild in Toledo put on =3D
in my
early days, the 1950s, when my research found the name of Sheila Machen
(pronounced "Maa-kin") as the name of the female kiln goddess. My =3D
husband
made a huge paper Mache head that one could wear to represent the kiln
goddess. In recent years, I have tried to find out more about that name =3D
on
the Internet but have not been successful. Anyone out there have any
remembrance of this name or could tell me where I could find out more =3D
about
her. At the time I came across her name, I had some early books or
publications about pottery and probably found it there. However, now =3D
having
the Internet as a source, it may be out there and I would love to find =3D
out
more about the name. I have Googled it to no avail

By the way, she had full lips, big eyes and very large boobs. We dyed a
string mop orange for her hair. She was quite a sight. Wish I had a =3D
photo.=3D20
