Yesterday, in the saggar workshop I am teaching, the steel band around the
lid of a re-purposed electric kiln popped its welds...Kapow!
The lid came apart in chunks this morning.
I run a home for wayward kilns, it seems, but have run through all the spar=
e
lids.
I will resort to my home made fiber lid until another one appears.
Anyone sitting on a spare lid or floor, 24-30" diameter in the Boston/Cape
Cod area to sell or give away or trade.

Judy, if you have all the pieces, you might be able to
cement the lid back together. Assemble and glue the pieces
quickly and hold them in place with a ratchet strap
(available from hardware stores).
