Is anyone willing to share a cone 6 celadon recipe?

Thank you,

I got this through Clayart several years ago. Birk's Celadon is a very
pale green and breaks beautifully over texture. I have added a little
more copper carb to enhance the green on occasion.

Birk's Celadon

Custer feldspar 58
Whiting 17
Flint 14
OM4 Ball Clay 6
Zinc oxide 5

Add:
Copper carbonate 0.5
Epsom salts 5.0

Bill,

Another good one was Odyssey Clear with iron. If no one has the recipe I=

send it later or put it on the blog with a tile,

John,
For reduction, have you developed a blue celadon for ^6?

Bill

Hey Bill,

I don't have my notes here, but as I remember we got some good results fr=

om=3D20
Gloss Base 1 and 2 with 2% iron in a cone 6/7 reduction firing. (pushing =

7 -=3D20
cone 7 at 3:00 )=3D20=3D20

I also had some other more fluid bases that worked well, like Floating Bl=

ue=3D20
Base with 2% red iron, Randy's Red base with 2% red iron, and then Yoder'=
=3D
s=3D20
and Selsor were also good as far as my memory goes, (goes, going, gone).

If anyone from The Long Beach Island Foundation is on clayart perhaps the=

can give you the dope on that. Also, we had some nice results at Richlan=

d=3D20
College in Dallas so perhaps Jen Rose will have something to report.=3D20=

Remind me in a week or two when I a bit more freed up and have my notes.
