Hi Larry,

I find a lot of inspiration in nature - currently hung up a local herd
of goats with the most interesting combination of white and brown
markings - They all have the same coloring but not one pattern is the
same.

When I'm doing something like that I find out more about my personal
set of preferences.

Saw a heard of brown cows standing in green pond scum up to their
bellies as well - you would not think it would look natural but
everything seems just right. Maybe cause we are having a heat wave up
here.

As I have been recovering - doing well thank you - I have been looking othe=
r
ways to feed my artistic soul. Since almost every thing I love to do,
pottery, sculpture, woodworking, metalworking, etc., involves lifting waaay
beyond my doctors (and my dear wife's) weight limits, I seem to be left to
sketching and reading and little web work. I must confess that I am much
more of a doing than a reader - I can build a good bridge while others are
still fussing over plans. So I have been searching high and low for low
weight endeavors'.

One that I discovered recently is watching the "Special Features" part of
DVDs that we own. My wife and I really enjoy a couple hours watching a good
movie in our home theater complete with popcorn and diet sodas. I had seldo=
m
looked at these optional tracks of the DVDs so I was surprised to discover
most dealt with the artistic approach of the director/producer and
actors/actresses.

The insight into the artistic approach is remarkably similar across these
various art forms - up to the point of execution. Additionally there are th=
e
funny outtakes to enjoy as well.

So my friends, when you can't be shoulder deep in clay but need to feed the
muse, what do you do, aside from Clayart of course.

Larry,
I love to draw and sketch. Sometimes I find myself imagining a special=3D20=
=3D

commemorative pot to make, perhaps a detail to work on to add to a piece.=
=3D

Drawing helps to vent my creativity and lets me work on my sense of=3D20
proportion.

Sometimes its just great to sit in a comfy chair on a rainy afternoon or =
=3D
evening=3D20
and let the 2 dimensional world open up...
