glazes, kiln firing and porcelain throwing techniques demonstrations. =3D20=

Topics will include glaze applications, spraying techniques, firing in =3D2=

a Geil Downdraft Kiln and use of kiln controllers as well as throwing =3D20=
=3D
demonstrations by Tom Coleman.
Day one includes: Discussion of glaze types (copper reds, celedons, =3D20
and shinos), glaze application techniques and spray booth, basic =3D20
combustion and firing theory and the kiln will be loaded. Day two =3D20
includes: Firing/kiln theory, kiln operation and controllers, =3D20
demonstration of techniques for throwing porcelain. Day three =3D20
includes: Unloading the kiln, discussion and critique of glaze results.
