Thanks James. There was a good mix of work in that firing from about a doze=
n
area potters. I tried to get a good example of most peoples work posted.

Glad you enjoyed Erin's Janis Joplin tour promo video. She loves doing it
and has gotten a very good response to it.

June

Thanks Marcia. Those bottle forms of Will Baker's in the bag wall were amaz=
ing. You can't see the spectacular crystal formations and other interesting=
glaze effects in the photos of those bottles. Joy Tanner's plates and othe=
r pots were gorgeous - so many wonderful pots, especially for a first firin=
g in a new kind of kiln.

Some of the pots didn't get enough soda, which is easily fixable in future =
firings. They used 6 lbs of soda, but only put in the firebox. Next time t=
hey can spray some through the ports. I'll re-fire some of mine in my soda=
kiln's fall firing.

Quite beautiful pots, June. Another great treat is your daughter's
Janis Joplin tribute video a bit further down the blog. Exceptional!
Janis is one of my very favorites. Your daughter does a great job of
capturing Janis' raw emotion in addition to imitating her sound.

All the best.
