i like aquarium silicone. it is pure and if it holds aquariums together
it sure will work on pots.
there are some good brands like borden's, etc.
any good hardware, big box will have it...i buy small tubes...same
for gorilla glue...buy the smallest amount available, and use it up.
it gets bad in the tube or jar after opening.

i have one drawer in my work space that is just small tubes of
silicone, gorilla, shoe goo, wood glue, model plane glue, and of
course epoxies (my brother is known as `old glue and screw`.
it is a family tradition, anything stuck together will be better
with glue and sheet rock screws...(stainless is best).)

you can buy big caulking sort of silicone, and rather pure, but
often it hardens before you can put it to good use.
