how much p-clay are y'all adding to the basic recipe? Does it clump up?
Sounds like it would be easier maybe to add it in with the dry
ingredients in a new batch of clay....

If it is added as shredded paper, add it AFTER the water is in,
seems to work better.

2 parts pre-wetted paper to one part clay slip. Stirred up then dried
back and wedged if you want to throw. dried back in sheets for slab.

I usually add about 25% by volume. I usually make the pulp and then put
water and pulp in the mixer and add the dry ingredients. I did try adding
the paper to the mixer and then the water and dry ingredients. It worked,
just like Dannon said. However, it took longer and it was mighty stressful
seeing all those strands hanging off my blades. Also, my mixer EATS kwh so
I liked keeping the usage down.
