duncan patch-a-tach and magic mender

My uncle who does a lot of slip-cast ware uses two products a lot, Duncan
Patch-a-tach and something called Magic Mender... not sure what they really
are or anything, but they sorta resemble slip..... odd stuff indeed. I
never use it though, so far, I am not plagued by the problem of cracking
(wheeeeee!)
I have glued handles on with glaze before though (after a nasty studio
accident involving loose screws and a falling shelf..), that worked just
fine.
Just my one-half cent's worth :o)))))

We have Magic Mender over here, looks like a combination of sodium
silicate and slip, works very well though, even on Biscuit ( which I
believe it's not meant to)
