It is so dramatic in some glazes that if added to an already wet mixed and =

This is in response to an off list question from someone who was
having trouble locating Glass Magic. I thought I would post it to the
list in case anyone else is in a similar situation.
=3D20
The manufacturer is in the process of changing the name from "Glass
Magic" to "Finish Glass Magic"=3D2C and the new box is blue rather than
green. It will be on the shelf with the electric dishwasher
detergents. (http://www.finishdishwashing.com/product-glass-magic-performan=

You can also order it online from a multitude of vendors including
Amazon. Go to www.google.com/products (or shopping.google.com =3D2C which
redirects to the same place)=3D2C then type in "glass magic"=3D2C and you w=
ill
see sources for the product under both names.

Here is a link to the MSDS for Glass Magic=3D2C for anyone curious as to
what is in it:

. It is mostly two flavors of sodium phosphate=3D2C plus a dash of sodium
silicate and a smidgen of a happy little creature called sodium
dichloroisocyanurate dihydrate=3D2C which is just a water sanitizer.
=3D20
I used Glass Magic to deflocculate some slip years ago when I was out
of sodium silicate and couldn't find a local supply. I cannot recall
how much I used=3D2C but seem to recall just dissolving some in water=3D2C
then proceeding apace just as one would with sodium silicate liquid.
For making terra sig=3D2C I don't imagine the proportions will be critical
at all=3D2C as they would be for casting slip.
