Hey everyone,
There has been a bit of discussion here about olympic's torchbearer kiln.=

for some advice?
Question:
I have my shutter plates fully open and top damper closed (20%). That is=3D=

where I get redux. Should I start to close the shutter plates below to g=

I will await any help that I can get from this great group of gurus!

Yes, close down the primary air disks on the back of the burners.
You will need to try different settings, but I closed mine down to between
1/4" - 1/8" open and just left at that setting for entire firing.
I then used gas pressure and damper opening to regulate reduction.
FYI - I found it helpful to use two insulating firebrick on opposite sides
of the flue opening and marked pencil lines 1/8" apart on the lid either
side of flue opening so I could note the position and repeat it in other
firings.
