Hi Barbara,

Have you tried watching it on your computer? That should work. =3D
Otherwise, I think I have had Radio Shack converted stuff like that for =3D
me before. But I'm not sure, and I don't know if that would conflict =3D
with any copyright laws.
I often watch DVD's from Europe, and I bought a DVD player that will =3D
play both formats. It was under $100.

Barbara --It's probably a "region 2" standard disk.
It will play on European spec DVD players, the
so-called multi-region DVD players and (sometimes
requiring a plug-in) most PC's with a DVD drive.

There is a good chance that the disk will play
in a computer's drive without changing anything.

If not, the procedure in Windows 7 is to do --

Start/Control Panel/Device Manager/DVD-CDRom Drives

Which gives you a popup for the control of the
DVD player, you click on the tab for region
control, and select whatever country you got the
DVD in. =3D20

The problem with this approach is that in some
cases, there's a built-in limit on the number
of times you can change the region on the DVD
player, and if you do your last change into,
say, region 6 (China) you can ONLY play region
6 DVD's. =3D20

Software programs that do decoding and conversion=3D20
include DVD Ghost, DVD Region Manager, and so
on. Some of them have try-ware versions so if you only
want to watch it once, it's possible.

Good luck--=3D20
