I have used Outlook Express for many years and am thinking
of upgrading to a more robust email program such as Outlook.
Does anyone have a recommendation? Are there Outlook clones
that surpass Outlook?

Thank you,

Sincerely,

Hi Arnold,

I'm sorry, but Outlook is just a dog...

Take a look at the whole Gmail suite.
IMHOP it looks like the best going forward
for lots of people.

It handles all your email contacts & accounts,
calender and now phone. Great search capabilities.
Also texting, and text & video chat.

All your voicemails are automatically transcribed,
and sent to your Gmail inbox. All your phones
can ring from one number, wherever you are.

Call free from your computer or cell phone
anywhere in the US.

Gmail and an Android phone
give you all your info, sinc'd at all times.

Your phone can/will become your go-to computer.

If you're worried about all your info getting
lost on the cloud, you can backup everything
from Gmail to the free Thunderbird open source
email client on your computer.

Did I mention it's free?

It's a big job to change over, but
Resistance was futile, I HAVE been assimilated... ;^)

Best, DMH

I found Gmail too robust. Sometimes I lose emails because everything
in the same subject becomes one thread, and emails come like avalanche
in my world. I finally come around to use the search button, but if
the subject lines are not descriptive, it is still a problem in the
time-saving department

I have Thunderbird on one of my pc at day job and I like it better
than outlook express. The layout design is nicer for reading. New
emails come in on the lower right hand corner. in its own minor
window. It is a nice touch.

On my Mac and my phone I get all my emails in the cloud.
