Hi,
This is not meant as an attack on Ms. Weaver's work (on the web site
mentioned), but if each piece is "individually signed and numbered," it
ain't folk art. It may _reference_ folk art, but that's not enough. The
porcelain vases I make _reference_ Iga and Shigaraki wares, but they
ain't folk art, either, as much as I wish I were as good as those folk
artists. Golly, Burlon Craig just puts me to shame too.
