Hi Birgit,

Huh...

How unexpected.

How could this be?

If the Oxides or whatever as was used to make the striated exterior, if thi=

for there to be any 'dusts'...

Just heard on a news cast on our canadian public radio that the sunflower
seed show was closed to interaction because there got to be too much dust
generated by people swishing through the seeds. Birgit

Hi Birgit, all,

Wish we had more info and details on the 'dust' issue.

I don't think it could be coming from people visiting the Gallery.

Cabinetmakers and Automobile Body-Men and Coal or other Minors can be dusty=
,
maybe some other occupations also, but, such people would be few and far
between...and would be likely to tidy-up before browsing through the Tate I
would expect.

If I had to guess - the people who made the 'Seeds' might have only done a
low Bisque, and merely applied coloring agents afterward, and or used Oxide=
s
or other amenable coloring agents and then low Bisqued, and, now, it is all
wearing and making dust from being walked on.

Otherwise, there should not be any dust, had these been truely Fired to a
usual ^ for Porcelain.

What a curious development, huh...

Mighta been part of the intention...who knows?

If my guess was right, it would have been ( part of the intention for this
to happen...and if so, I kind of admire the Artist(s) for working in that
development which pretty well no one would have expected or forseen as bein=
g
part of the idea...)
