I want to make a copper carbonate wash to accentuate the texture on my
pots. I will wipe it over the texture on my bisque ware and then wipe off
the extra. I will then use a transparent glaze over this. Can someone tel=
l
me how much copper carb to mix into 1/2 cup of water? Should I use CMC or
something to keep the copper carb from settling out so quickly?
Thanks,

I know I am answering my own question, but I found this web site this
morning through a link on Clayart. I thought someone else might find this
information useful and other potters may have other ways to make copper car=
b
wash to share with me.
I found this information on a pottery web site. It is a pretty cool site.
It lists a lot of glaze recipes. You have to register, but it is free. Yo=
u
can search the glazes by Material (glaze, slip/engobe, or stain/wash),
Environment, Firing Range, Color, Opacity, and Surface. Some of the glazes
even include pictures.

Green wash under JB Clear glaze.
Mix 1/2 teaspoon of oxide and 1/4 teaspoon EPK in 8 ounces of water.
