Hi Jeff,

Probably USPS would be best...and the least expensive also.

US Postal Service is the easiest and most economical.
Find out the cost at

I shipped ceramic beads that I sold via Etsy to Australia, used USPS, and
it was easy and cheap. I think if I were shipping cups I would use a
priority mail box.

In addition to the fact US mail is just as good as UPS and FedEx you
should be aware that there are sometimes problems with UPS and FedEx
charging for customs declarations at the other end. For example within
the US I usually try to send UPS -it's generally much easier for me.
However when I first shipped to Canada the customer specifically
requested US mail as she had to pay UPS an extra $30+ (at her end) for
dealing with the import forms etc. By USPS she had to fill in the
import form herself (not really a big deal), but didn't have to pay
the $30. She does have to pay the extra sales tax at the Post Office
when she picks it up.

Australia are even worse with import taxes as they will impound stuff
which does not have the duty paid on it. If your clients have not
dealt with this sort of stuff before, maybe Ivor can give them a
tutorial on what they have to do at their end.

The UK on the other hand (from what I remember) doesn't worry about
duty on stuff that costs below a certain amount ($100 maybe - look it
up).
