Hey Folks,

Some of you may recall I'm rebuilding the Bourry box on my wood fired kiln=
. Now I'm at the point where I want to corbel the top opening with brick an=
d the span is 23.75". Has anyone else successfully spanned that wide of a g=
ap? I have extra brick I can use as a counter weight and might use a couple=
kiln shelves right at the top but I'd rather save shelves for the load..

I'm also wondering about using ceramic cement instead of the clay mix lag =
I use most of the time. My thinking is it would glue the bricks together be=
tter before firing in so it would hold the corbeled bricks in place.
