A friend is giving me an old 34" X 34" Paragon kiln I will convert to
gas. Anybody know how many BTUs I need for cone 10? 500,000
enough? Craig says he estimates it is about 12 Cubic feet.
I am thinking about a liquid propane burner.

Lee,
Marc Ward has an article about calculating BTUs for different types =3D20
and sizes of kilns and desired cone at this link: =3D

Thought it might be helpful for your electric/gas conversion.
