I have been receiving emails from the Mendocino Art Center that say
they are in a difficult financial situation. MAC is a non-profit
institution in Northern California. They regularly have outstanding
workshops about ceramics and other arts. They also have shows,
festivals and tours. It is a great resource for artists to teach and
learn. Anyone interested in donating or becoming a member may learn

Thank-you Nancy for posting this. From my own experience, Mendocino Art
Center is one of the best workshops venues I have experienced. I've taught
two workshops there, and will be back this summer for a third. I love the
place, and the whole area. For a long time, I think that the Art Center ha=
d
solid continuity and a built-in audience, but with recent changes in the
economy they have struggled, and have been through several directors. The
ceramic studio in particular is extremely well-run by Darrin Ekern and his
assistants, and I can guarantee that anyone who takes a clay workshop there
will learn a lot and have a great time. And of course the whole Mendocino
Coast area is spectacularly beautiful.

member just a few months ago.
