Hi, I loaded my coneart/shimp kiln model bx2827d about a few days ago.
everything was dry except a teapot at the top. I programmed it to have
a 1 hour
pre heat and then a slow bisque. The temp in the garage was 40
degrees. I left the kiln for about 20 minutes and then came back to
see it at 450 degrees!!! Of coarse i heard the teapot blow and so I
turned it off. Does anyone have any ideas what to do? I may have to
back out of a show this week because all my work is in it.
Thank You , Gina Mars

Unload the kiln, clean out all bits of the exploded pot, making sure to
vacuum out element channels, reload and fire the kiln.
Your description of the heating ramp makes me think in your rush to get thi=
s
done that perhaps you hit the wrong firing schedule button.
