Hello - I am just starting to use Coleman Porcelain and kept slurry to make
a colored slip. It is in a jar. I intended to add a black mason stain to
make the colored slip but I don't think I did add the stain. Meanwhile, th=
e
slip smells to high heavens but it has also turned black. I am trying to
figure out if I just don't remember adding the color or if this is a natura=
l
consequence of the Coleman slurry sitting around. I did read somewhere
about the smell but don't remember anything about the color. Also, I
vaguely remember something you could do to eliminate or mitigate the smell.
Could someone remind me if that is the case?

Thanks in advance for all the help. MJ
