Our pottery group is running into a materials problem and we=3DE2=3D80=3D99=
re =3D
hoping someone on the list might help.
Here in Atlantic Canada we can no longer get Kona F4 sodaspar and are =3D
being sent a substitute, something called Mine 200.
The question is: has Kona F4 been replaced and if so what is the =3D
substitute and how does it differ from the original?
Many thanks indeed, Frances Howard.=3D

I've had good results with MInspar subbing 1-1.

Francis,
I agree with Kathi. Minspar 200 mesh fires virtually identical to F-4, a
very clean melt. Try a straight across substitution. I don't think there
should be any trouble.

Hi Frances,
The first step is to get an analysis of both spars - and then compare them.
If they are not close then calculation software is the best way to =3D20
find out how to alter a glaze to look the same.
If you don't use calculation software then let me know and I'll do it for y=

u.
If you do have calculation software and need some help - let me know.
