wanted to share information on an upcoming pottery workshop near here:
The Amerind foundation is an archaological foundation located about an h=

east of Tucson, and 10 miles east of Benson, AZ. ( i live 5 miles south o=

They have a wonderful museum which features a great collection of southwe=
=3D

pottery , local archaeological artifacts dating back to the clovis cultur=
=3D

and examples from many North American Native cultures.
It is in a beautiful place at the north end of the Dragoon Mountains in=3D=
20=3D
Texas Canyon. The museum, gallery and conference facility were built in =
=3D
the
1930s and were part of the Fulton Ranch. it is a lovely place . It is qui=
=3D
et
and peaceful , and yet not far off the highway. I can also attest to the=
=3D
ir
good cooking! also there are a number of other great places to visit in =
=3D
the
area, including Chiricahua National Park, about 30 miles to the east,
BIsbee, Tombstone, etc. the price includes meals, and lodging (lodging
optional) at the Amerind.

Pottery workshop with Hopi-Tewa potter White Swan,(Dollie Navasie),=3D20=

who learned the art of pottery from her grandmother and her mother, Hopi
potter Fawn Navasie.
Participants will make 2-3 pots from Hopi clay and pigments Dollie will
bring . As well as being an excellent potter and teacher, White Swan is =
=3D
a
delightful story-teller and participants will be treated to stories from =
=3D
her
life as a Hopi woman and potter
Price for Amerind members staying at the Amerind is $855. this includes a=
=3D

material fees as well as meals, snacks, and double occupancy lodging in t=

Fulton Seminar House. without lodging the fee is $705. Both prices includ=

$200 tax deductible donation to the Amerind. a $200 donation is due at th=
