Claudia,
What I meant by culture was the ethnic diversity (1 in 3
Somalis in American live in the Twin Cities, about 25,000 people.)
We also have the largest community of Tibetans outside of Tibet and
India along with large numbers of Vietnamese and Cambodians, not to
mention the largest urban reservation and also the largest comunity of
surviviing Ojibway speaker. That, on top of the art museums and
institutions and the clay, book, textile and printing centers. I
know there are Canadian cities that compare well, but I wasn't
speaking about them.
Maybe you are not aware of the culture that exists there?
Not isolated artists making knick nacks in the snowbanks.
I was really struck by it when I moved here from Michigan.
