Hi Everyone,

Still not booked for NCECA Tampa, as I am only interested in going if we
are going to have a Clayart presence, i.e. a hotel where most of the Clayar=
t
members are going to stay, and if there will be some kind of place we can
gather. Can anyone tell me what is happening, please? Money is tight, going=
to
Tampa is expensive from Virginia, and if it is not going to be meaningful,
the money would be better spent another year.

Hope someone can advise me.

Good wishes to all.

Veena,
I also am traveling from Virginia and debated whether to attend not knowing
if there would be some type of Clayart gathering place. I'll be staying at
the Hyatt Regency Tampa, it was the 1st hotel listed on NCECA's site. I kno=
w
how important the Clayart room has been to all of us and it may be the
deciding point for some if there is not a room this year. I don't know if
anything is happening regarding a room. I have put out some feelers, but
don't know if anything will come of it.
In the end, I am going to the conference, for the conference. The Clayart
room has been a great place to meet, make friends and renew friendships, bu=
t
in the end, I am going for NCECA.
I think as time approaches, we can find an ad-hoc meeting place, whether a
hotel lobby, some place in the conference (like the vendors hall) or even
restaurants. I will start contacting folks I know in the area for
possibilities, as others may want to do.
We can share information here, on FB and even share phone contacts with som=
e
individuals as we develop a plan.

I will be in Tampa. I've reserved a room at the Quality Inn which is about
4 miles away near the Fairgrounds and freeway. Their rate for the first fe=
w
nights is $58 and drops a bit for the last night. This of course means we
will rent a car so probably not saving all that much from a closer hotel.
We have family in the area so the car is a necessity anyway.

I have the pleasure of living about 45 miles from Tampa and would like to
go to NCECA for a day (sadly my work in the computer field will not allow
me more than that....... guess I'm not a Luddy...).

Could someone suggest a particular day which would be best to attend?

Hopefully there will be a Clayart gathering place because I would love to
meet the wonderful people here in person!
