I haven't been really paying attention to this thread, but I am planning
to attend at least one day of the conference. I have family in Florida
and always drive there that time of year anyway, and I have a piece in
the Potters Council show so I'm required to attend the opening on April
1. I don't post much to clayart so you all don't know me well, but it
would be nice to meet some of the people I've been reading all this time.

Seems like the only affordable way to go is as a presenter or for a
related show.

I won't be there but I am sending pots for the Potter's For Peace show.

Clay Tampa NCECA attendees,

I am suggesting that a place in the convention center like the "rotunda"
area, see map (
http://www.tampagov.net/dept_convention_center/files/Lower_Floor.pdf )
be designated as a " ClayArt meeting place" for people who would like to
meet, talk or assemble for lunch or dinner plans. The area is located at on=
e
entrance to the convention center in Tampa nearest to the "Riverwalk"
outdoor area, enjoy the Florida sun. Everyone is going to be attending the
sessions in the convention center anyway so why not just drop by the rotund=
a
area and meet other ClayArt people there? Wear your ClayArt shirts or plac=
e
an orange sticker on your name tag as identification. You can wear your

Good suggestion!
It has restrooms right there!
Never turn down an opportunity...

I might also suggest the vendors hall as a meeting place.
In the back they usually have several tables set up to sit and rest.
A Clayart flash crowd!
