Along the lines of the shipping thread, it occurred to me that someone
might know of a better and cheaper way to send exhibition stuff (lights,
pedestals, work) to major ACC shows and thelike. Being in the SW makes it
hard to drive to these events and paying Yellow Freight 1.50/lb seems
excessive.
I ship close to 400 pounds and my shipping bill takes a while to pay off.
Anyone doing it cheaper?

In addition...
In addition to the shipping charges... most halls have an additional
DRAYAGE charge (getting your stuff from the truck to your booth and storing
your boxes) at the Philly Buyers Market there is no drayage charge. (Show
management handles the cost). This really helps people with heavy loads!
We also have an exclusive contractor for freight. Bill Fraser handles
everything through Yellow Freight. There have been some really tight spots
between the three february shows... NY Gift, Philly and Baltimore... Bill
always gets it there quickly without a hassle.
