my demo wheel at Linfield is an axner sitting on a short, stout table.
wheel height is at pancreas level. the control is mounted sidewise on =3D
the left side with a slightly curved metal (12") extension lever, =3D
bolted to the hinged pedal. a compression spring is added so it =3D
functions like an automobile accelerator. the geometry is set up with a =3D
wooden extension pad, about 8" by 8" bolted to the wheel where I can =3D
lean back into it.
wheel speed is controlled by leaning into the padded extension or =3D
relaxing off it, just as a car is when driving. the setup allows one to =3D
stand on both feet equally, which is half of the advantage of standing. =3D
almost any model with a pedal on a leash, can be modified in this =3D
fashion. of course, extension legs can be used instead of a short table. =

I'd be happy to show=3D20
a picture to anyone interested. just send request off-line. it is also =3D
featured on my DVD, "on the wheel with nils lou".
