At NCECA Philadelphia, i bought some beautiful handmade paddles, Doolan tri=
mming
tools, a couple of T-shirts, and some bump-ons (i think that's what they ar=
e
called). What filled up my suitcase was glaze samples free ribs, posters, f=
ree
canvas bags.....way too many freebies! As I was driving I filled up a few
shopping bags. As I will be flying for Tampa NCECA and doing the cruise als=
o, i
will have to be a bit more discriminating.

Note to self, get to the cup sale early as it sold out within a hour or so.

Since I usually take something to the cup sale and another
to the Clayart exchange, I have the nice sturdy box that
they were packed in, and generally limit my acquisitions
to what will fit into it going back.

I may buy a few small tools on impulse, but mainly I take
home information: business cards with notes on the back
about interesting new products, etc.

I used to buy small quantities of chemicals that would
incur big shipping surcharges if mailed (like silver nitrate),
but I am leery of doing that anymore. I'm not even sure that
US Pigment was there last year.

it's easy to forget simple stuff when you're in a whole 'nother town, but U=
PS
stores and various competitors will pack and ship for you at no or low char=
ge.
that's a handy way to simply send those extra free-bees home and not fuss w=
ith a
plane. airport security likely has no idea about what those weird powders =
are
we come across.

i enjoy the fact that they DID let me carry a warhead fuze on a plane once =
back
in 1984...... those were the good old days!
