i have added a picture of a very old teabowl, about 1600-1632
Sokei. authentic. the signature is very clear.
note the sort of lightning bolt image that is often thought
of as meaning raku.

but, each potter had a signature in the line of the family `raku`.
there is a very fine current raku. Kichizaemon XV, he is currently
very busy making tea bowls.
very nice ones in my opinion.
i am not an expert, but i have some very fine raku books that
are printed in japan, with almost all the writing/text in japanese.
some translations are within the books.
(i have the current book on the new raku museum. it is a three
book set. )

they are awe inspiring.
